By now many of you know that I won’t be reprising the role of Kristina on General Hospital. I love Kristina and cherish my time I’ve spent with the character, but I also embrace the opportunity to pursue other projects. I’ve learned so much from my time on GH and I look forward to growing even further!
I want to thank you for all of your support. It is overwhelming and unrelenting. I am beyond grateful!

New Documentary Paints Picture of Dying Genre
Lexi Ainsworth was interviewed for an upcoming soap opera themed documentary appropriately titled “Soap Life,” which follows the life, and possible death, of daytime soap operas.

The indelibly pretty petite celebrity soap starlet 5’1″ Lexi Ainsworth (age 19) is a breath of fresh air on the young Hollywood scene. Lexi was born to a dentist father and a teacher mother in Oklahoma City, perhaps not the most likely upbringing for a Hollywood big screen actress. Lexi says that her small town life is what encouraged her to want to break out and pursue something fun and different! Lexi started acting at the very young age of 6, including live theatre work and involvement in acting workshops. Some such workshops required travelling to Los Angeles for additional training, which eventually led her to a breakout role on the hit soap General Hospital, in the role of Kristina Davis Corinthos.

And the race is officially on! This morning the nominations were announced for the 39th Annual Daytime Emmy Pre-Nominations which determine which daytime drama performers are officially in the running for Emmy gold. Next step, the final round of judging which gets underway on March 27, 2012.
Here is how it worked: A ballot containing a full list of entrants in each of the six performer categories was sent to registered, eligible peer judges. The ballot contained an unrevealed and randomized order of performers in each category, regardless of their show affiliation.
Judges were required to view clips containing the work of each performer entry before selecting their top 10 performer choices in each category. The judges sent their ballots directly to Lutz & Carr, an independent accounting firm, who tabulated the results. The Lead Actor contains 11 pre-nominated performers due to a tie int his category. The candidates below who received the highest number of votes now advance to the blue ribbon at-home screening round, scheduled to begin on March 27th, 2012, which will determine both nominees and winners.

Lexi Ainsworth’s General Hospital co-star, Nancy Lee Grahn recently sat down with TV Guide to discuss some current story lines on the show and her penchant to sound off on Twitter. One referenced example was when Nancy opened up about her distaste for the decision to pass over Lexi Ainsworth for the 2011 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Young Actress in a Drama Series.

On Saturday, December 10th, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) hosted the 3rdAnnual General Hospital Fan Build Day as part of its entertainment partnership program, Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity (HFHFH). Lexi joined in on the build for the third year in a row with cast mates such as Jason Thompson (Dr. Patrick Drake,) Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri,) Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine,) Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) and many more.
Fans of General Hospital worked alongside cast members to build 3 Habitat homes in Los Angeles. General Hospital Fan Build Days originated in 2009 when Brandon Barash and Lisa LoCicero came up with the idea as a way to intact with loyal fans while becoming more involved with a worthwhile social cause.
Habitat for Humanity builds affordable, sustainable homes low income families who agree to pay back a zero-interest loan and volunteer up to 500 hours of “sweat equity” in the construction of the home. Habitat for Humanity built over 500,000 homes in 2011 alone.
